Saturday, January 13 – Cold Chocolate and Cricket Tell the Weather, co-bill
[Cold Chocolate]’s approach is decidedly modern, with as much an influence from folk and swing as from hard driving bluegrass. Song topics also more reflect the urban environment in which they live than the country or rural themes that dominate so much bluegrass from southeastern artists. – John Lawless, BluegrassToday.com
[Cricket Tell the Weather] uses thoughtful arranging and instrumental restraint, enabling them to sound at home in both traditional and modern styles… there’s enough talent in the songwriting, singing, and playing to make this a young group well worth watching. – Bluegrass Unlimited
