Old Sloop Coffeehouse performances take place in the handicap-accessible Fellowship Hall of the First Congregational Church of Rockport.  Concerts begin at 7:30 pm and end about 10:00 pm. Tickets for many concerts cost only $10.00 if purchased in advance and can be purchased from this website, at John Tarr Store in Rockport, and at The Bookstore of Gloucester.  Tickets purchased online are will-call, and seating is general admission.

COVID-19 update

Our host church is closed because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and Old Sloop Coffeehouse is not presenting in-person concerts. It looks like it will be a while before we are back in our hall. We plan to present occasional virtual concerts, and we hope those will help to satisfy our thirst for musical performances and provide some semblance of gathering in community.

Please know that the pandemic has been a disaster for the independent musicians whose livelihoods depend on live performances, which are nearly all canceled for the foreseeable future. Many musicians are presenting virtual concerts of their own or have set up Patreon memberships to try to make up some of the lost income. Please check your favorite artists’ websites or social media pages and, if you are able, attend their virtual concerts, buy their music, and support them financially.

Joan & Joni – February 20

Anne Saunders, Artistic Director of the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, said this about a previous performance of Joan & Joni:

That was one of the best tributes I can recall. It was totally respectful to the originals. Allison and Kipyn don’t try to copy Joan Baez and Joni Mitchell; they play the songs in their own way. It was one of the most enjoyable shows of the year for me.
