About Old Sloop Coffeehouse
Old Sloop Coffeehouse is an outreach project of the First Congregational Church. It offers great music in a variety of styles at affordable prices in a friendly and welcoming environment. We sell fair trade coffee and tea from Equal Exchange, which supports small farmers using sustainable agricultural methods. We also sell a variety of home-made baked goods, which are very popular with our patrons and performers. Performances are in the church’s handicap-accessible Fellowship Hall.
All performances are general admission. Unless otherwise noted, performances begin at 7:30 PM and end around 10:00 PM, and doors open 30 minutes before the scheduled start of the performance.
Tickets for many concerts cost $10 if purchased in advance. At the door, the usual suggested contribution is $12 for adults, $7 for those 65 and over, $5 for those under 18, and $24 for a family. These concerts often sell out, and it is advisable to get tickets in advance. Tickets may be purchased from this web site, from the box office, which is open during intermissions at Old Sloop Coffeehouse concerts, from John Tarr Store in Rockport, and from The Bookstore in Gloucester.
